“La Banda” by Sarah Ellison

A Capsule of three pieces, inspired by the Italian words for "the stripe"

Sarah Ellison's “La Banda” Collection stands as a testament to the power of simplicity, elegance, and thoughtful design in modern interiors. Known for her distinctive approach that blends minimalism with a warm and organic aesthetic, Ellison has once again demonstrated her ability to create pieces that are both visually striking and deeply functional. “La Banda”, with its clean lines and curved silhouettes exemplifies a refined yet inviting sensibility that has become synonymous with Ellison’s work.

This capsule collection has only three elements: side table, console and screens. Considering that the striped effect would create quite a lot of noise, the Australian designer decided to design secondary furniture pieces.

Launched in 2021, the collection was very successful and achieved the designer's goal: create an unexpected level of excitement to people's homes. For this reason, Pepe (the side table) and Luca (the console) remain in the main collection to this day.

“La Banda” Collection is a breath of fresh air. It reminds us that the most effective designs often stem from the simplest ideas. By taking inspiration from something as elemental as a stripe, Ellison has created three iconic pieces of furniture that are elegant and charming, capable of transforming a space and giving it personality.
