You know that it’s summer when the burrata is served in a Casa Cubista plate. 

Casa Cubista is a Decoration brand known for its collection of terracotta pottery in vibrant colors and geometric paintings. All pieces are handmade in small local studios in the heart of Portugal.

The brand was created by Arren Williams and David Pimentel, both Toronto natives who moved to Portugal and fell in love with Olhão, Algarve. The brand's name Casa Cubista is due to the local Architecture of this city present in the typical fishing neighborhoods.

The main idea is to rescue traditional objects, giving them a fresh air through their colors and simple geometries. Its design is so characteristic and you have no doubt that it has Casa Cubista's signature when faced with a piece.

After a day at the beach or a day at work, I like to serve late afternoon tapas on their colorful striped plates.
